Shrimp Tempura Batter

Recipe: Shrimp Tempura Batter

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups ice cold water
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Instructions:

  1. Shrimp, peeled, cleaned, patted dry Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder and baking soda in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, egg and water; stir until flour is moistened. Batter should be slightly lumpy. Dip shrimp in batter. Deep fry.
