Plain Fried Rice

Recipe: Plain Fried Rice

Ingredients:

  • 3 tb Vegetable oil
  • 2 tb Onion, chopped
  • 1 tb Garlic, chopped
  • 5 c Cooked long-grain rice
  • 1 c Tofu, diced
  • 3 tb Soy sauce
  • 1/2 ts White pepper
  • GARNISH- 1 tb Cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 1 c Cucumber, sliced
  • 2 tb Red & green chilies, chopped
  • 3 ea Green onions, chopped
  • 1 ea Lime, cut into wedges

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the onion & stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic & stir-fry until both are golden. Add the rice & the tofu & stir-fry for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with soy sauce & white pepper.
  3. Remove from heat & place in a serving dish surrounded with garnishes.

Number of servings (yield): 4
