Vintner'S Turkey Chili

Recipe: Vintner’S Turkey Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 c bell peppers — chopped
  • 1 1/4 c onions — chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic — minced
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil
  • 30 ozs kidney beans — undrained
  • 28 ozs crushed tomatoes
  • 3 c turkey light meat, skinless — cooked and cubed
  • 2 tbsps chili powder
  • 1 tsp cilantro
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat cook bell peppers, onions, garlic in oil until tender.
  2. Add beans, tomatoes, water, turkey, chili powder, cilantro, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Increase heat to high and bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer mixture, uncovered for 25 minutes.
